Math
- Today in grade 7/8 math we had a joined lesson where we learnt about prime factors, factors, multiples and prime factorization. Students completed textbook work with the grade 8s looking at exponents and the grade 7/8s looking at whole numbers
Science
- Today in grade 7/8 science students reviewed the notes we took yesterday exploring the habitats and species existing at St. Jude's. After we looked at the basic needs of each of these species, the students were asked to make their own terrarium. Using paper and pencil, students sketched species inside their terrarium.
Math
- Today in grade 9 math, we reviewed the area model of solving multiplication of fractions. Well done to the IB learners who showed risk-taking and open-mindedness to this new idea! We also discussed solving mental math and how we can solve basic multiplication without a pen and paper.
