Hi All,

Today we began our day with badminton in gym class. Mr. Browning had the students practicing their volleying skills as well as their game skills.
After an exciting gym class, we moved up to the portable to begin our language and math morning. Students worked on completing spelling unit 19 in language and will have a pre-test tomorrow. In math, the grade 7s explored a formula for finding the area of a trapezoid, while the grades 8 worked on their mid-unit review.
After an exhilarating outdoor recess filled with zombie attacks, we headed indoors for our science lesson. Students experimented with syringes, pop cans and pop bottles and the concepts of volume, pressure and temperature. We saw some exciting things happen when a pop can was exposed to heat and an ice bath!

We have a new music teacher this term, and so, the students headed off to music class after science. Students reviewed scales, notes and watched a pianist video. Ms. L has decided that she will be teaching music on Mondays and guitar on Wednesdays. Students must remember to bring their guitars in every Wednesday now.
After music we had an outdoor recess and students played another round of Zombies.
Mme. Stella then ended the day with French.
