Hi All,

We began our day today with science. Students explored the concepts of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, watching a video and answering short answer problems. They worked on calculating pressure by dividing force by area.

After science, we moved into language. We pulled out our Abeka books and worked on compound pronouns. We took up last days work and had a short discussion on nominative, possessive and objective pronouns.

We moved our math period to the afternoon to accommodate the drama schedule, and therefore enjoyed a history work period. Students wrapped up their newspaper articles and continued formatting their final copy. Newspapers are due tomorrow and may be typed or written.

After an indoor recess due to hail and wet weather, we moved into math. Ms. H joined the grade 7s and worked on their unit review. Students are to complete the review sheets for homework in order to be prepared for tomorrow's test.  The grade 8s focused on their unit review within their textbooks, their test will be next Wednesday.

With the new Drama schedule, the students joined Ms. Henein and Mme. Stella for the rest of the day in the gym. They began stage work on Les Miserable.
