Hi All,
Today we began our day with Art. Students started to look at the form of art called Impressionism. We discussed the characteristics of Impressionism and looked at prints from three artists, Claude Monet, Mary Bassett and Edgar Degas. Students will be painting an impressionist painting over the next two weeks.
After art we moved into language. We looked at the usage of nominative, objective and possessive pronouns.
Students completed language and we moved into math. Grade 7s finished their unit problems and then played a trapezoid game with Ms. H. Grade 8s worked on types of graphs and focused specifically on circle graphs.
We had an indoor first recess with the rain and enjoyed a pizza lunch afterwards.
After lunch, we had science. We experimented with Pascal's Law and determined the formula for determining pressure. Pa= force (N)/ area (cm2)
We had just enough time before music for a work period in history. Students had time to work on their newspapers individually and within their groups.
Ms. L had the students for 6th period and worked with them on their guitars. STUDENTS REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR GUITAR EVERY WEDNESDAY!
We had another indoor recess and then Mme. Stella ended the day with French.
