Hi All,
We began our day today, looking at world and local news. Students examined the trial of Mayor Hazel McCallion, looked at meteors in Russia and discussed North Korea's missiles. Students then wrote an opinion piece on their articles and submitted them.
After language we moved into math. The grade 7s had their unit test while the grade 8s completed their unit reviews.
We had an indoor recess after math and enjoyed macaroni and cheese for lunch.
We continued language after lunch, looking at writing pieces from different points of view. Students read the story of Cinderella and wrote a piece from the point of view of one of the characters.
We had reading buddies between period 4 and 6, and all enjoyed reading to our SK buddies.
We ended the day wrapping up our stories and practicing for the French Cafe.
