Hi All,

Mr. Browning began our day with fitness and hockey in gym this morning. Students played a game of indoor hockey after an intense cardio warm-up.
After our sweaty workout we headed up to the portable to cool down and begin our academic day. Students worked on their report card comments in language and submitted their novel selection for this term.
After language students moved into math. The grade 7s focused on their unit 6 mid-unit review and discussed area and perimeter of triangle. The grade 8s focused on inferring and evaluating data from spreadsheets and charts.
After an outdoor recess and hot lunch, we moved into science. Students began their study on mechanical efficiency; they explored gears, pulleys, hydrolic arms and Canadian inventors. Students worked in groups to problem solve how to rescue an abandoned robot stuck underground. It was exciting to see what they came up with.
We wrapped up science and headed indoors for second recess and lunch. After lunch, Mme. Stella ended the day with french, practicing the students Les Miserables French Cafe production.
