What a heart raising gym class we had this morning! Students played floor hockey and really got themselves sweaty.
After gym, we skated our way up to the portable. Students began the period working in their Language C books. They reviewed action, linking and state of being verbs. After language we moved into math. Grade 8s worked on their unit review worksheet as a class, while the grade 7s focused on their unit problems.
After an indoor recess and lunch, we moved into our afternoon. To begin our afternoon, we presented some of the students art projects. They all came together quite well and really demonstrated the students learning within the unit as well as within art. After the presentations, we headed downstairs for our Friday afternoon reading buddies. Students read aloud to their SK reading partners.
After reading buddies, we headed back up to the portable for science. Students explored the digestive system and learnt about capillaries, lymphatic vessels and both small and large organs.
After a second indoor recess, students ended the day with Mme. Stella in French.
