Feb 5th

Hi All,

Today we began our day with a game of basketball in gym. Mr. Browning split the class into four teams and the students played two games of full court basketball.

After gym, we headed up to the portable to start our academic day. In period 2 language, students had time to work on their speech outlines. Students developed their topic sentence, their three main arguments and their conclusion.
We moved into math and focused on our units. Grade 7s looked at stem and leaf plots with Ms. H, while the grade 8s practiced subtracting fractions with myself.

After an indoor recess and hot lunch of chicken fingers, students began their afternoon with period 4. Today was our DRA day and we worked through these throughout period 4 and 5. We will continue to work on these during Thursday afternoons period 4 and 5.

For period 6, Ms. Henein had the students for drama and dismissed them directly to indoor recess. Mme. Stella then ended the day with French.
