January 30th

Hi All,

Today, the students continued to work on their basketball skills in first period with Mr. Browning. We sauntered up to the portable to begin the rest of our day after the students finished changing.

In period two, we looked at the present and past tense of verbs. We conjugated simple action words to make complete sentences in the correct tense.
In period three, students moved into math. Both grades had their math unit test today, and took up the double period completing them.
After an indoor first recess and lunch, we had a work period in period 4. Students completed their spelling, history summaries and math unit problems during this class.
Mr. Murphy then began period 5 with our Novel Study. Students worked in groups to find their own examples of symbolism throughout the novel. We then moved into period 6 and Mr. Murphy gave the students a lesson on the Ottoman Turks. After the lesson, we wrapped up history, packed up our bags and headed in for a second indoor recess.

After second recess, Mme Stella ended the day with French.

- Spelling Unit 15 due Friday
- Ski forms due Friday
- History Summaries due tomorrow, they will be marked as late.
