Hi All,
We began our day today with basketball in gym with Mr. Browning. After raising our heart-rates, we slushed our way up to the portable. Students who attended school yesterday, began their morning with a two-page paper on respect. Students reflected on their behaviour during yesterdays second recess and over the past few days. These letters have been photocopied and will be sent home tonight.
Students who were not involved in yesterdays happenings, worked in their language C books on verb principals.
After language, students had time to work on their math unit problems. Grade 7s worked on constructing their magazine ads, while the grade 8s put the final touches on their circus tents. Students will be presenting their problems tomorrow in math.
We had some time at the end of period 3 and students had a chance to finalize their speech topics and wrap up their history summaries. After a wet indoor recess, students enjoyed chicken fingers for their hot lunches.
The afternoon brought us our unit #14 spelling test, a review and handback of our writing assignments, and Mr. Murphy teaching symbolism in writing. We wrapped up symbolism with Mr. Murphy and the students headed off to Drama with Ms. Henein.
Ms. Henein is starting to rehearse for the Gala and will be holding extended Drama periods for the next few weeks.
After another soggy, wet, indoor recess and lunch, students scampered off to the portable for their ending period 7. Mme. Stella ended the day with French.
