With sore muscles from our crossfit yesterday, we began our day with a volleyball gym period. Students practiced their bumping, volleying and game skills with Mr. Browning.
After gym we headed out the side door and up to the portable. In our language C morning block, we continued to look at explanatory paragraphs. We looked at the similarities and differences between seals and walruses.
After language, we began math. Grade 7 students worked on repeated addition of fractions, while the grade 8s found the surface area of Toblerone bars.
After indoor recess, students started working on history, chapter 8. We worked on shared reading as well as our metacognitive awareness while looking at the development of the middle east.
After history, Ms. Henein had the students for drama. Many of the students received their roles for the up-coming Robin Hood play for the school Gala.
We had another indoor recess and Mme. Stella ended the day with French.
