Countdown to Christmas: 11 days
Today with tennis on our agenda for the afternoon, we started our day working on spelling and language. Students reviewed techniques on summarizing passages and we looked at a variety of ways to brainstorm. We had a double math block after language, where the grade 7 students looked at area and perimeter of geometric shapes and the grade 8s looked at interest rates, commission and discounts.
After lunch, Mrs. Henien had the students for a practice run of the holiday concert. The play is coming along quite nicely and it is exciting to see the students in a new dramatic role.
Once the play wrapped up, students enjoyed an early second lunch before tennis. We headed over to the Delta Meadowvale for 2:00pm where we enjoyed our first tennis lesson. Hopefully all of our skills improve over the next two weeks!
