Countdown to Christmas: 13 days
Today we began our day with fitness testing in gym. Students were tested on their ability to stand on one foot, as well on their cardiovascular endurance performing suicide drills. After gym, students made their way through the cold snowfall up to the portable. Students worked in their spelling books for period 2 and looked at prefixes using "mal and "man". After spelling we had a double math block where the grade 7 students built 3D geometric shapes using nets and the grade 8s looked at solving more percentage problems in their text and work books.
Today was our first day of winter intramurals and on first lunch, students headed down to the gym to watch Kappa and Zeta complete in a house game of volleyball. Well done to Kappa for whomping Zeta 25-15.
After lunch, Mme Stella had another early period of French where they worked on "imperatif" sentences. We moved into a science worked period after French where students had the oppourtunity to discuss their presentation, format and research information with myself.
Mrs. Henien had the students for second lunch and last period working on the Christmas play.
