December 10th

Hi All,

Countdown to Christmas: 14 days

Today we began our day with gym. Mr Browning is back as our gym teacher and had the students testing their fitness skills. Students practiced the long jump and were timed holding the plank position. 

After gym we had our unit 10 spelling test. Students all performed quite well and scored an overall average of 95%; spelling books will be marked and handed back for tomorrows lesson in Unit 11. 

Once we wrapped up spelling, we had a double math block where grade 7s looked at sketching 3D objects on graph paper and grade 8s solved problems regarding percentages.  

After an indoor, first recess Mme Stella had an early French period working on sentences that discussed the past weekend. Once French ended, grade 8 students finished their math work and were assigned new pages to enforce learning with percentages. Grade 7 students had an art period where they worked on their city sky-scapers painting. With an early lunch, students headed off to Drama at 2 for an end of day practice.

- Grade 7: Math: WB Pg. 1, 2 in geometry section

- Short Writing Tasks due Wednesday

- Science work period tomorrow afternoon

- Tennis permission forms due by Wednesday!

- Holiday Concert December 20th at 7pm

- Half day on December 21st
