Hi All,
Mr. Rojos is certainly getting us all into proper shape with his morning gym class.
After an energizing gym class, we spent the morning looking at the origins of the Christmas tree and the Christmas holiday itself. In math we looked at our number sense and numeration skills on our math numeracy assessment. (This assessment is not meant to assess the students on what has been taught thus far in their current grade but is meant to look at what they learnt in the previous grade. These results then allow me to see what gaps need to be filled in throughout the students' grade level. The students will have 4 more assessments throughout the year and are not meant to study or prep for the assessments at home. )

The students headed outside for first recess and we grabbed some chilly, but fresh air. After lunch we moved onto our sixth chapter in history and started looking at William Bradford of England.
We moved into art after history and spent some time sketching our 3D objects. This was an exciting learning class for the students as many of them had never drawn a 3D object on a 2D worksheet.

Mrs. Henein took the students for drama and practice on the school play during period 7 and second lunch. The students are getting quite excited for the play and final production on Nov. 21st
Mme Stella rounded off the day with a lesson in French, working on student vocabulary and sentence structure.
