November 7th

Hi All,

After an exciting gym class on fitness, we spent the morning looking at the history of Al Gore and his impact on global warming and politics. We continued working on our pencil box problem in math and some of us think we finally found the answer. Proving that answer tomorrow though, might lead to a different story!
In language we looked at the elements of a short story with our guest teacher, Evan Zylstra. Evan taught us the main elements of a story and walked us through characteristics, protagonists, antagonists, and plot development.

The students headed outside for first recess and we grabbed some chilly, but fresh air. After lunch we moved into science with a lesson on the water table and iceberg formation. We will be constructing a class model of the water table and will be experiment with its effects on Monday.

Mr. Matthews took the students for music in seventh period and worked with them on their guitar skills.

Mme Stella rounded off the day with a lesson in French, working on student vocabulary and sentence structure.
