Spike, set, serve! What a great looking volleyball team we are going to have if we keep up the hard work in gym.
After an exciting gym class, we spent the morning looking at the naming of a holiday and prepositional adjectives. We practiced ratio and problem solving skills in math and began looking at our novel study assignment in grade level groups.

The students headed outside for first recess and we grabbed some chilly, but fresh air. After lunch our first group performed their history chapter and we saw how Samuel Champlain searched for the Northwest Passage.
We moved into art after history and spent some time looking at vanishing points and shading. Students should bring in an object for Thursdays class in order to work on shading in a real-life context.
