November 30th

Hi All,

Today we began our day with gym. Students practiced their volleyball skills as well as got some exercies doing laps, suicides, and diagonal running chutes.
After gym we moved into language where we reviewed the process of summarization. Students then worked on their chapter 5-7 summaries of their respective novels.
In math, students began looking at rate in their MMS textbooks. As a class we did our final proportional question in groups. Students looked at the proportions of Jenny's ship and Oyster Bay.
After lunch, students sat down to discuss their up-coming science projects. Topics were chosen and students began to brainstorm their 3D models as well as ways in which to present their information. Students were given an example sheet in terms of what to look for when conducting their research.

After science we moved back into math, finishing our assigned morning work. Mme Stella was ill today; after second lunch, we had reading buddies with Ms. Chang's class, a rote multiplication quiz and packed up our things.

Homework
- Novel study spelling test on Monday
- Bring research and material for 3D model work on Tuesday

Reminders
- Tennis permission forms should be going home soon, keep an eye out for those
- Rock-Climbing December 20th
- All lunch orders were due back by today for december
- Picture orders are now over-due and must be submitted by the student  themselves to LifeTouch
