November 29th

Hi All,

Today we began our day with our novel study vocabulary lists. The students worked on finding the definitions and synonyms of their new words. They also practiced spelling them  by writing them out.
After our vocab study we headed down to the gym for some volleyball practice with Ms. Lopez. Students worked on their sitting, spiking and bumping in a game setting. They were able to get 11 rallies with each other; well done!
After gym, we headed back up to the classroom where we worked on our Novel Study summaries and our expository paragraphs.
In math, students solved a proportion and ratio problem on the board and in groups. We worked through solving for and isolating 'x' in order to find our solution.
After lunch, we moved into history where chapter 6 presented their dramatic take on William Bradford and the Strangers and Saints of the New World.
Students finished history with highlighting and reading their chapter 7 notes.
Ms. Henien took the students for drama where they began learning their roles for the upcoming Holiday concert. It is looking to be quite a production and quite exciting!
After second lunch, Mme Stella ended the day with vocabulary practice in French.

Homework
- Science topics will be chosen tomorrow
- Novel Study summaries are due tomorrow
- Picture re-take photos are due by tomorrow
