Grade 9 Math
Today we took up the homework from last day and worked on the relationship between exterior and interior angles. Students realized that all exterior angles total 360 degrees while the interior angles total (n-2) *180, where n equals the number of sides for the polygon.
Grade 9 Science
What an exciting class we had today! Students presented their ideas behind the origin of the universe and explored each others points of views. We were caring, inquiring and risk-taking IB learners in class today! Well done everyone!
Grade 7 Math
Grade 7s focused on their assessment question in math today. They also explored one on one online learning on Khan Academy
Grade 8 Math
The grade 8s focused on finding triangles inside polygons and exploring their relationship to right-angle triangles. Interesting to see how shapes fit into one another allowing us to apply our previous knowledge to new skills!
Grade 7/8 Science
Today in class we conducted a lab on beam bridges. Students had specific requirements for building their bridge. We will be testing the bridges tomorrow!
Homework
1. Tomorrow is causal day2. Ontario Science Centre Forms are due tomorrow
3. Grade 9 Camping trip forms are due Friday
