What a gorgeous day we had today!
Today kicked off anti-bullying week! Students wore pink to show their support for victims of bullying and to remind them that bullying is not something we tolerate at SJA.
Grade 9 Math
In class today we looked at interior and exterior angles, exploring their relationship to the number of sides a figure has. Homework Pg: 395- 396 #4-15
Grade 9 Science
Students had a work period today for their roundtable discussion tomorrow. Students should have ideas and facts to support their theory of the universe. Presentations are tomorrow!
Grade 7 Math
Today we looked at finding the area of a triangle! Students realized that the area of a triangle is half that of the area of a parallelogram. A=1/2 b*h for a triangle! Well done grade 7s
Grade 8 Math
Students continued to look at the Pythagorean Theorem, making connections to real-life situations
Grade 7/8 Science:
Students had time today to begin there bristol board design and document their variables. Work periods will be given Wednesday and Friday this week!
Reminders
- Tomorrow we are joining the lower school for assembly
- Ontario Science Centre permission forms are due back by Wednesday!
- Camping trip forms are due back by Friday
