Hi All,
Today we began our grade 9 math class taking up our homework and reviewing discrete and continuous data. We looked an independent and dependent variables before heading off for 3 independent questions from the textbook. We will be taking up the work in class tomorrow.
In science, we watched a video on covalent and polar covalent bonds. We then reviewed key concepts from the unit including molecular compounds, diatomic molecules, atoms, elements and valence electrons. Well done everyone! Final test will be on Friday!
In grade 7 math today, students worked form Khan Academy exploring individualized concepts in mathematics. The grade 8s got to their first lesson on circles looking at building their own formulas for circumference, diameter, and radius. Students were assigned 4 questions for consolation that will be taken up tomorrow.
In science, we continued to look at the up-coming science fair project. Outlines will be handed out by Friday but students should have their question completed by then. Students spent today's class researching topics and testable questions.
