Volunteer Around the World

Hi All,

Tonight is out Ecuador information session! We will be discussing this exciting trip and the opportunities it has for the SJA MYP students. Please join us at 7pm in Portable 6 to discuss this event!

Today in our classes, the grade 9s explored ratios, fractions, algebra and dissecting word problems. We will continue this exploration until next week.
In grade 9 science, we began watching a video on the history of the periodic table. Students are learning about where our elements come from and how they came about on our planet. Students practiced writing notes on their laptops and paused during the video to wonder and process what the professor was saying.

In grade 7/8 science today, we continued our video from yesterday on the periodic table, stopping at important intervals to discuss the repercussions of the findings and what we wondered. Well done grade 7/8s.
In grade 7 math, students completed workbook pages 85-86 while the grade 8s learnt about converting decimals to fractions. Grade 8s were assigned pg. 167 #2,6,8 and the reflection
