Hi Everyone,
Today in grade 9 math, we looked at our chapter review. Students had interviews, discussing their learnings and working one on one with myself. They will be having a test on Friday and their job over the next two evenings is to study. In class tomorrow they will be completing the self-test and will be reviewing material from the unit.
In science today, students handed in their papers on the environmental impact humans have on aquatic ecosystems. We began our next topic on government initiatives while brainstorming ideas on programs we are already aware of in Canada. Tomorrow students will work in groups to research projects and programs looking at environmental impacts.
In grade 7/8 math we took up work from the week and caught up on our surface area and geometry work in our workbooks.
In science we looked at the interaction of pure substances and mixtures. Students explored what happens when you mix hot chocolate and vinegar, pepper and water, salt and vinegar and hot chocolate and water. It was quite the afternoon!
