Cross Country Wednesday

Hi All,

What a day! Well done cross country team! We had a blast running at Sunneybrook park with more than 20 other schools. Our team members were fast, well behaved and displayed an excellent teamwork attitude. They encouraged each other through each of the race heats and were supportive along the course. Ms Genco and myself were very proud!

In class today, the grade 9s continued looking at algebra tiles and completed work in their textbooks on page 110-112 #10-12. In science they worked on looking at biogeochemical cycles in our biosphere. They explored the carbon cycle, the phosphorus cycle, the nitrogen cycle and the hydro cycle. Students answer questions based on the videos and wrote appropriate notes on further readings.

In the grade 7/8 classes, the students had their unit 2 math unit test. Once they completed the test students worked on Khan Academy to solidify their knowledge in all areas of mathematics. In science class the grade 7/8s watched a video on bio-invasion. They read pages 66-67 in their textbooks and wrote responses to the communicate questions in their books!

Tomorrow is STUDY HALL day.

PYP students, students in grades JK-6, have full classes Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday
