Wacky Wednesday

Hi All,

Math:
Grade 7/8: Today in grade 7/8 math we worked from our workbooks, reviewing ratio, rate and percent.  Students solved problems based on counters, division and algebra with division.

In grade 9 Math, students began working on their Chapter tasks. They will have another work period tomorrow and then will be presenting their findings to the group at the end of class tomorrow.

Science:
In grade 7/8 science today, students presented their Prezi's. We learnt about consumers, producers, types of consumers, as well as photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
Can anyone tell me what this formula represents?
CO2 + Sun light + water = C6 H12 O6  + O2

Grade 9: Today we began our lab on micro ecosystems. Over the next two week students will be examining the effects of fertilizer and sodium bicarbonate on pond water. They are tracking their data and will be answering analysis questions at the end of the two week period.

Grade 7/8: bring materials for the lab tomorrow
Grade 9: Study for Unit test on Friday
TERRY FOX DAY TOMORROW, wear gym clothes

Civics: discuss the immigration of Canada over the last 200 years. Discuss from the WASPs to the Mediterranean to the rest of the world. Is it right for the WASPs to have all of the power?
