Math
Grade 7: Today we had our unit test! Students completed their unit tests looking at number sense and numeration

Grade 8: The grade 8s completed their unit 1 test as well today, exploring algebraic expressions and data populations.

Grade 9: Students in grade 9 focused on their unit review. They will be having a test on Friday and will be working this week on building a study sheet. This study sheet allows students to explore how they learn and how they can prepare themselves for tests and examinations later in life.

Science:
Ecosystems Galore
- Grade 9s looked at types of ecosystems today and their components. They completed a venn diagram examining the abiotic and biotic factors of their own ecosystems.

In grade 7/8 the students looked at a secondary succession ecosystem, looking at how a forest might re-build itself after a forest fire. Students came up with creative ideas as to what would happen and how the ecosystems may or may not be able to re-build themselves.
