Flippant Friday

Hi All,

Math:
Grade 9: Today in class the students completed their first unit test. Students looked at whole numbers, integers, rational numbers and applied their new knowledge to solving algebra equations and BEDMAS.

Grade 7/8 In math today, students work on comparing ratios and scale drawings. We looked at how to draw a large desk on a 8 1/2  X 11 piece of paper. Students also looked at equivalent ratios and fractions.

Science:
In grade 7/8 science today, we talked about how to set up a lab. Next week students will be conducting a lab on resource distribution and will look at how plants grow within a confined space and limited resources.

In grade 9 science we looked at our ecosystems lab and recorded data on the changes we've seen over the past two days.

Homework:
- Grade 7/8s: research your plants and what they need to be successful
- 30 min of Khan a day
- Grade 9s:
- Civics essay and geography homework

See everyone Monday!
Miss Elliott
