This week seems to have flown by! We worked this week on getting to know each other and I think we can say we've all learned something new about one another!
Math Grade 9
- Today we focused on our first ONAP* (Ontario numeracy Assessment Package) . We looked at number sense and numeration and we over what we learnt in previous years.
Science: Grade 9
This morning we enjoyed a whole school assembly that challenged each of the houses in a house competition! Well done Kappa for earning 1000 house points!

Science Grade 7/8
- Today is class we split off into groups and experimented with a handful of household materials. Students tried blowing a balloon up with CO2 and making quick sand, and tested their natural dominance in a left/ right competition.

*The assessment is a diagnostic tool that lets me know what level the students are achieving and where their studies need to go for the year. The students will be having one ONAP per week until all five strands are completed.
