May 27th

Hi All,

Welcome back! What a week we had in Montreal and Quebec City. The students really had a great time touring the Biodome in Montreal and walking the streets of old Quebec.
Today we got right back into the swing of things working on our poetry books. the booklets are due tomorrow!
In gym this morning, Mr. Browning played an exciting game of soccer baseball with the students. The students got their heart-rates up running the bases and batting.

After gym we moved into math. The grade 7s worked on dividing to find percents while, the grade 8s worked on reviewing square and square roots playing a game of math bingo. Check out the game on the youtube channel!!

We enjoyed an outdoor first recess and lunch and moved into science for our afternoon. Students had a science pop quiz looking at the concepts we've reviewed in mechanical efficiency this unit.  We then had a work period for our up-coming science fair. Students worked on their research papers, final reports, and presentations.

Ms. L then had the students for music where they practiced guitars. Students will be performing two guitar pieces for Arts Night on June 5th.
