Today and yesterday we began our day with language. In yesterdays' language block we organized our student binders and placed work in our IB binders. Today we worked on Diamante poems Part I. Students wrote two poems, one on IB and one choice topic.
After language we had P.E. Mr. Browning played floor hockey with the students yesterday and today played soccer baseball.
On both days, we moved into math after gym. The grade 7s focused on calculating percents, while the grade 8s wrapped up their circle unit and began unit 8 on square roots and pythagorus theory.
We enjoyed a windy first lunch and recess before moving into our afternoon!
After lunch yesterday and today, we had a science work-period. Students worked on their projects and learned about bibliographies and their research essays. Today we had music and the students practiced their guitars with Ms. L.
We ended both days with another outdoor recess and French. Mme. Stella is working with the students on cities in Montreal and Quebec City!
