Hi All,

Today we began our day with gym. Mr. Browning had the kids playing dodgeball and working on their fitness.
After gym, we headed upstairs to begin our academic day. The students began the poetry unit looking at cinquain, ballad and acrostic poems. We will be focusing on poems for the next three weeks and students summative task will be to build a poetry booklet.
After language we moved into science. We had a science work period, where students worked on their elevators and their science fair projects.
We ended the morning with art and students worked on their impressionist paintings.
After recess and lunch, we had math. Grade 7 students began their new unit on geometry and the grade 8s worked on their ONAP prep. The grade 8s will have their data management ONAP test tomorrow.
We then moved into music with students working on French Cafe practice.
After second lunch and recess, Mme. Stella ended the day with French.

Homework
- Read through science package, parents please sign this package once you and your child has read through it.
- Grade 8s, ONAP tomorrow
- New lunch forms went home today
