We started our day today with volleyball in gym. Students warmed up with aerobics and competed in a fun game of skill afterwards.
Heading up to the portable, we started our classes with language. We looked at hyphens and underlining and practiced examples both on the board and in our books. After language we moved into math. Ms. Bannon walked the grade 7s through the addition and subtraction of fractions while I taught the grade 8s about nets, viewpoints and 3D shapes.
Chicken fingers were for lunch and snow mountains were enjoyed at recess.
After recess, we began looking at summarizing chapter 7 in history. Many of the students had already read the chapter so we began putting the information in our fishbone charts; 7 main ideas and 3 supporting facts for each.
Ms. Henein was in today for our Drama lesson after math, and the students started looking at their performance for the Gala.
After a review of geometry formulas and an outdoor recess, Mme. Stella ended the day with French.
