Hi All,

Tomorrow is back to school! Hopefully everyone has had a relaxing 2 weeks off and are ready for an exciting 2013 at St. Jude's.
In order to begin on the right foot I thought I would post a few school supplies that will be needed for this term. Students can bring in the few supplies, if they don't already have them, by the end of this week.
Grade 7
- Graph paper
- Dot Paper
- Calculator, scientific are best. Ipod calculators are not sufficient as they do not have all of the functions needed for class.
- The Giver by Lois Lowry- This book will be our novel study for this term and can be found online, in the library, or at chapters.

Grade 8

This term will focus on two units. The first will be a community and service unit, that will allow students to look at the benefits of societal aid and togetherness. We will be making an art piece reflecting community outreach programs and social awareness. Students will have choice on medium of art (print, graphic, media, paint, pastels, etc). This project will be due at the end of February. The second unit will be a health and social education unit and more details will come later.
