Hi All,
Today we began our day with volleyball skills in gym with Mr. Browning. We headed up to the portable after our workout and started our day with morning check-ins and language. During the morning check-ins students reviewed their ONAPs and we looked at what areas of geometry we need to work on. We wrapped up the language and check-ins and began our math. Grade 8s worked on a mid-unit review looking at net making and angles while the grade 7s focused on fraction strips with Ms. Bannon.
After first lunch, students came in and we had a novel study work period. Students focused on a group fishbone summary of the first four chapters of The Giver. They worked through main ideas and supporting facts with their groups. Students will bring home their fishbones and compose a summary for chapters 1-4 over the weekend, due Monday.
Homework
- Spelling Unit #12 test on Monday
- Any math that wasn't finished in class
