November 12th

Hi All,
What weird weather mother nature has brought us!

With  the students  having volleyball tryouts on Wednesday, we spent a double gym period working on our setting, bumping and hitting skills. In math the grade 7s began working with multiplying fractions and grade 8s began looking at scale drawings. After math the students moved into language where we worked on conjunctions and their functions.

After lunch we worked on our science knowledge and gained an understanding of the water cycle. We defined the terms of the cycle and looked at a real-life model using a kettle and two plates. Students have the task now of coming up with their own examples of the water cycle in real-life.

After science the students headed off to music where Mr. Matthews worked with them on their guitar skills and scales.  Students have a music test on the song jingle bells on Wednesday.

Second recess came and went as an indoor one where the students played volleyball and bump.

Mme Stella rounded off the day with a lesson in French, working on student vocabulary and sentence structure.

See everyone tomorrow,

Miss Elliott
