Welcome back everyone!
What a great day we had getting back into our normal routine and seeing familiar faces after the two week break.
In grade 9 math we refreshed our minds reviewing formulas, algebra, linear equations and graphing. Afterwards in grade 9 science we spent time building molecules and researching their common and chemical names.
In grade 7 and 8 math we began new units on patterning and algebra and circles, respectively. Students began the explore activities in their books looking at circles and patterns in shapes.
In science, we began our discussion on the up-coming science fair. Letters will be going home this week outlining due dates and deadlines for each aspect of the project. Students are to come to school tomorrow with ideas on "testable" questions.
