Hi All,
Another temperature drop for us today! Brrr, I could use some warmer weather anytime now!
Today in math, students were assigned their summative task for this unit. I have sent home a hard copy of the assignment and I will be emailing the assignment and rubric to parents this evening. Please ensure you read the assignment and let me know if you have any questions. Students are required to build a model house using wood and or laminate. They will require parental assistance for building as I do not want any of them un-supervised using tools! If this is a conflict, please let me know! The assignment is due next Friday.
After lunch, the grade 7/8s joined Ms. Soroka's class for our speech winners to participate in a mock speech presentation. Well done everyone!
We then came back to class and worked on math. Students in grade 7/8 will be receiving their final tasks tomorrow with Mr. Clewer. It will be due next Friday.
Reminders:
Grade 9s and a handful of grade 8s are going to the Ontario Science Centre tomorrow morning. We will be leaving at 9:15AM and will be returning for 2:30PM
Thursday is in the whole school speech competition! Please come out and join us! Speeches begin at 9am
Next week is Spirit Week, please see the post below for descriptions of activities on each day. Reminder: Tuesday is Pancake Tuesday and the day of our annual pancake eating contest
Next Friday is the last day before March Break. March Break is the 10th - 21st.
