Hi All,
Today we began our day with mission tasks in the grade 9 math class. Students looked at the cost per dog for boarding at Kevin's Kanine Kennel. Well done to those who solved this riddle!
We also looked at calculating the slope of a line that breaks at certain point. Students compared these slopes to find the equation of each line segment.
We spent the rest of the morning working on speeches. Students will be presenting their 10 minute TEDtalks and powerpoint presentations next Tuesday during our mock speech presentation day. Everyone will compete in our in class speech competition next Friday, February 21st.
Our afternoon consisted of speech writing and editing. Students were given back their edited version and will be continuing to work on their speeches throughout the coming week.

- Last day for Candy Gram sales is tomorrow, Candy grams will be delivered to classes on Thursday
