Hi All,
Math: Today in grade 9 math we looked at the relationship between one dimensional, two dimensional and three dimensional shapes. Students answered questions on squares, lines and cubes.
In grade 7/8 math the students really got down to business and focused on comparing ratios and making scales. They completed a mid-unit review and were rewarded with some free online time. Well done everyone!
Science:
In grade 9 science today we learnt about ecological niches and cellular respiration. Students are to look at what primary, secondary and tertiary consumers are for homework. Bonus question: What are the ecological niche patterns of a grizzly bear?
In grade 7/8 science we explored the concept of succession. Students read about primary, secondary and island succession. We will be touching on this topic more tomorrow!
