Hi All,
Welcome back from a snowy but very lovely long weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed their family day with family.
Today we began our day with Mr. Browning teaching the students how to line dance. This unit looks to be very exciting if it continues like this.
After gym, we headed up to the portable for language. In language I posed a challenge to the students. They will be working on the challenge for 14 days and we will reflect on it once we are finished. After the challenge was accepted, students looked at the principal parts of lie and lay. The completed pages 132-134 in their language C books.
We wrapped up language just in time for an early French period with Mme. Stella. Mme. Stella will be teaching an early French block all this week due to Gala practice.
After French we moved into math. Grade 7s looked at the application of data, while the grade 8s discussed dividing by decimals.
After an indoor lunch and recess, students had 2 work periods for their up-coming speeches and U of I project. Students peer edited their speeches and worked on their body paragraphs. In their U of I period, students worked on their art pieces.
We had an early lunch and the students met with Mrs. Henien at 2 for an extended Drama rehearsal. For tomorrows rehearsal, Mrs. Henein is reminding everyone that they must have their lines memorized!
Homework
- work on speech
- Drama rehearsal- PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
See everyone tomorrow,
Miss Elliott
