IB Trait of the Day
- Inquirer
As students make their way through the world, in order for them to become successful, they must have the ability to inquire. They must inquire about prices, inquire into the news, inquire as to what their boss expects of them. Today through our math word problem, we inquired into the techniques and forms of solving math problems. It was a great way for the students to see how their peers computed math problems and arrived at the same solution. It was also an oppourtunity for the students to inquire into a variety of ways to find pieces of the solution throughout their math notes, textbooks, workbooks, and teacher.

Well Done Everyone!

Math Problem
A empty container tank has a base area of 2400 cm2.  It has two taps of water that are pouring into it. The first tap pours at a rate of 12L per minute while the second pours at a rate of 3L less per minute than the first.
After six minutes of the taps running, what is the depth of the water in the tank?
hint: 1L= 1000cm3

Hope everyone has a nice evening,

See everyone tomorrow!

Miss Elliott
